This song was written by Robbie Robertson of "The Band" and is the first song on their "Music from Big Pink" album. This is also a live recording at the "Big Chill"(Feb 2008, I think). To me, the ambient sounds of the crowd in a live recording actually adds to the mystique of the occasion. It was a thrill for me to be included in this group of musicians. They come in and out with their unique expressions as they are inspired by the music. The result is a mulligan, reminiscent of an Irish Pub where friends meet for Craic (Fun) and Porter Black (Dark Guinness). I am so glad Rick had this session recorded. Since he has passed, it has become a poignant remembrance.
